Videos have been configured for playback, but in the CMS, the “Reported Player Faults” section next to the player only displays:

The device itself displays the default layout instead of the video.

I found a similar post with the same error that you are getting when trying to play a video on your Xibo for Windows (XfW) player; you can find the post here. As suggested in the post, could you please try to reinstall the Windows Media Player? You can find the guide at the last bulleted point here.
I uninstalled the Windows feature as described, restarted the PC, reinstalled it, and restarted again.
Unfortunately, I’m still getting the same result.
I have three Windows clients, and all three are affected.
I’m thinking of you having another test PC with the Windows 11 Professional variant installed in it instead, as that is the recommended Windows OS for the Xibo for Windows (XfW) player; you can also check the other PC requirements here to make sure all of the minimum requirements for running the XfW player are met. Please note that the Windows Enterprise variant has known video playback issues, which is mentioned in the minimum requirements page for the XfW installation guide.
