Using Image from Webcam

Yes you can use a External Image column type in a dataset. Add a row to that dataset, and in the External Image type column, put the URL you want the CMS to download the image from. Then use a ticker or dataset view to show that downloaded image in your layout.

I was glad to find this, tried it with the latest versions (Version 3.0.6 and Xibo_for_Android_v3_R302 on DSCS9), but there is no update of the pictures from the webcams. I tested it for 48h, the pictures stay old.

I found in the logs for this layout:
‘Unable to find file in media inventory: layout. 295’

P.S.:
When I use the webcam URLs in a weather template as picture for ‘cloudy’ etc, then it works.
But I would like to use a layout without the weather things.
