I am experiencing the same issue described in this thread: ‘Xibo client lag/freeze at the beginning of each video played,’ which currently has no solution.
The playback is perfectly smooth when running on the primary monitor. However, on the extended monitor, the video lags/freezes for a moment every time a new clip starts. I have tried downgrading the Xibo Player version, but the issue persists with no improvement.
Can you give us some information about your setup? Do all monitors use the same display resolution, scaling, refresh rate, etc.?
Do you have a dedicated GPU and/or an iGPU? NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel? Also, are you using GPU Hardware Accelerated Scheduling?
Try setting all monitors to the same values in your graphics settings, for example 100% scaling, and make sure they are all handled through the same output path where possible. Also try enabling High Performance / Ultra Performance mode.
Hi,
Thank you for the suggestions. Here are the details of my current setup:
-
GPU: I am using Intel iGPU.
-
Refresh Rate: All displays are already synced at 60Hz.
-
Resolution: There is a slight difference between the two. The Main Display (used for maintenance) is 1366x768, while the Extended Display (for Xibo content) is 1408x768.
-
Scaling: Both are set to 100%.
-
Optimization: I have already configured the XiboClient executable to “High Performance” in the Graphics Settings.
