I am concerned about the &[apos]; tags in the log file. Is it possible the client to try downloading the file with a wrong path because of these &apos? My Apache and PHP are configured for UTF-8 charset.
First things to check:
Xibo for Windows local library path - what is it? Did you change it from the default path? if yes does have permissions to the new folder?
CMS library path - in CMS settings you need to provide fully qualified path to the library folder on your webserver, more details in ‘Library location’ section of this post Xibo CMS Post-Installation Setup Guide
Yes, the library path of the client is changed to “c:\temp\xibo” and the permissions are OK.
The CMS file path is OK and the preview in the browser of the layout works fine.
I have downgraded the client verions to 1.7.4 and it looks too strange! The requiredFiles.xml is downloaded now but the media is not. It gives error 404 file not found. However i can download the file from the CMS and i can preview the layout.
I have noticed one more thing. With the new client versions (1.7.6 and 1.7.7) the MAC address of the client is shown as AABBCCDDEEFF, and with the old 1.7.4 like that AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF.
By the way, the CMS virtual machine is cloned from our production 1.7.4 and upgraded to 1.7.7. The apache, php and mysql was updated too.
This is the log file:
17.5.2016 г. 12:25:46 ч.LibraryAgentLibraryAgent - RunException in Run: Could not find file ‘C:\Temp\xibo\requiredFiles.xml’.
17.5.2016 г. 12:25:46 ч.ScheduleManagerThreadScheduleManager - LoadNewScheduleLayout invalid: 0
After saving the layout again the client version 1.7.4 is working with some playback issues. There is a delay between the media playback of some files (mp4 and swf).
Still trying to use client version 1.7.7 without any success even with our production server with CMS 1.7.4
