Xibo Player 1.8.10 - Failed to update status file / non well-formed XML code

Hello guys,

I’m seeing daily the following 2 errors (partly in German) in Xibo Player log:

  1. UI Thread|13.09.2018 10:15:59|Error|ClientInfo - updateStatusFile|Failed to update status file. e = Der Prozess kann nicht auf die Datei “C:\Users\abc\Xibo Library\status.json” zugreifen, da sie von einem anderen Prozess verwendet wird.

–> Which other process can have locked the file?

  1. FileAgent_resource_Id_9|11.09.2018 13:51:08|Error|FileAgent - Run|Exception in Run: Die Antwort ist kein wohlgeformter XML-Code.

–> Is it a SOAP-error (non well-formed XML code)?

The layouts are scheduled and playing fine.

I’m using Xibo CMS 1.8.11 on Apache server and Xibo Player 1.8.10.

Assuming you have just one player installed on the device, then it could be anti-virus software for example accessing the status.json, which isn’t that bad, assuming it does persist.

As for the second error, you’d enable auditing on the CMS and player to get more information about the problem perhaps.
