Xibo lets me format dates in RSS, but how does it know which fields are dates

Due to the horror which is Sharepoint, I have an RSS field, containing calendar events, where the actual start date and time is contained in the field.

I know under the RSS Advanced tag, there is some lovely functionality for letting me format dates.

However is there any easy way to convince Xibo that the contents of description is actually a date? It will format other date fields in the field (such as pubDate) but not Description, which I guess it thinks is an arbitrary string.
