Hi, nice, I plan to upgrade our version from 2.3.4 to the latest on a brand new server.

Does the latest version accepts Mysql server 8 ?

We are currently exploring supporting MySQL 8 for v4, so its not supported for v3.3.3 I am afraid.

Hello, what about PHP8 support ? PHP 7.4 is not supported since december 2022 !!

PHP version:

  • The current stable release requires PHP 7.2.9 or later.
  • PHP 7.0.8 or later can be used from Xibo 1.8.5.
  • PHP 5.6 or later can be used until Xibo 2.2.0.
  • PHP 8 is not supported.

I use the PHP 7.2.33, and it works vey well.

Maybe in the CMS V4 version they are able to use the PHP8

PHP7.2 is end of life since 2021 and PHP7.4 is end of life since 1st january 2023.
I know that it works very well with version 7.2 but it is not usable in business.

Well, currently Xibo doesn’t support PHP 8… :slightly_frowning_face:
