I have trying to create a new user with type "Group admin"and “User” in the new default installation of Xibo CMS 1.8.2, but get a message “User does not have permission for this homepage”.
The group you assign to the user (last box) needs to have permission to access the homepage you’ve chosen.
the System Notifications group likely doesn’t have permission to that page. Try “Users” instead, or create a custom group for that group of users with the permissions needed to access at least whatever homepage you set.

That was my fault. I didn’t notice that Initial User Group by default is “System notification”.
