Xibo as Windows shell

Hey there,

I want to prevent users to escape the Xibo Player and do weird things on my Windows 11 Pro Client. For that purpose I configured Xibo as shell instead of explorer.exe.

Does anyone has some long time experiences with that kind of configuration? It looks like it’s working normally but maybe some have some more facts.

Or does anyone has a better solution to prevent users to do weird stuff after they managed to escape or maybe the Xibo client could fail and open a Windows desktop.

Best regards,

Hi there, have you gotten any experience over the last Month and a half? Because I think its an interesting topic to keep in mind for future installations.

We currently use Samsung Professional Display’s with Tizen for displaying our Content and the only Problem we had was that some Displays froze and didn’t download Content anymore. It seems like the bug has been fixed in an Update just recently.

It’d be nice to hear your experience!

Best regards

I found an easy way thats stable and reliable. For windows I’m using a tool called FrontFace Lockdown Tool.
