if you set the clock to “Digital” it is not displayed.

After selecting the Digital Clock it can be formatted using the Editor tab: Clock Module

I’ve seen this as well after changing the clock type. The digital clock resets to “Enter Text…” instead of [HH:mm]. You can fix it by going into the Editor and updating the HTML. It only seems to do this sometimes, so I’m not clear on what the trigger is here.
That is correct.The Analogue and Flip types are preformatted, the Digital clock type has an additional Editor tab. If you select and save the Digital Clock you will see ‘Enter Text’. On selecting the Digital Clock type, click on the ‘Editor’ tab to enter HTML or toggle On the visual editor to format using the inline editor. Use the Snippets menu to add time format tags or enter tokens in [ ] as shown on the bottom of the Clock Module manual page.
If you were to select and save an alternate clock type this would override your previous save therefore resetting the Digital Clock to ‘Enter Text’ ready to be formatted how you choose.
