I’m looking to set up a new server to install 1.8.1 on,Is it possible to use server 2016 for the docker install ? I think I read somewhere that server 2016 docker wouldn’t work, if that wont work then would it work if we set up a new server with windows 10 pro installed or do we need to go for a Linux route ?
The manual describes the issue with Server 2016.
You will need to use either another version of Windows, or a Linux server. If you are getting something specifically, then a Linux server is normally the quicker and easier of the two installations. There’s a guide for Ubuntu 16.04 x64 here:
