i am testing Xibo right now, and it is a very nice system and would be an awesome replacement to our old signage system… The only downside so far is the reliance on windows media player. Our test videos (that run fine with VLC, the “Movies and TV” App of windows 10 and any other player) will just produce an error message in WMP (So the xibo player just stays black)
With WMP12, there is no possibility of using a codec pack since those rely on Directshow, which WMP completely ignores under Windows 10. So one is left with the partially broken MPEG1/2 support codec from the windows store. Are there any plans to widen support?
