CMS version 4.3.2, Docker. WebOs v6. WebOS R409 client.
Hi, is there a way to flush the content out of the WebOs client and have it reload the layout immediately? Or at least in a few minutes? The Purge command does not seem to be working for me. Republishing the layout, rebooting the LG display, nothing seems to update it quickly for troubleshooting layout design. I sometimes must wait over an hour for it to update the content and then I cannot figure out how/why the update is finally triggered.
On the PC client, I can just publish the layout, then restart the PC client and it updates almost immediately. Unfortunately, the PC client is not always consistent with the WebOs clients.
Please let me know any suggestions.
Thank you for reporting this issue and sharing the details of the behaviour you are seeing.
The purge command is not currently compatible with the webOS player. You should find that when a change is made to a scheduled layout, the player will be informed the next time it connects to your CMS, then it will download the files it requires, which should then be updated on the display within a reasonable time frame.
The experience you are describing suggests there could be an issue that we need to investigate further. Please can you open a ticket on the help desk about this issue and address it to me (I’m Daniel, pleased to meet you), then we can set up some tests to see what is happening with the delayed updates to your player.
