Video Occasionally Black Screen with Only Audio

Hi guys,

I have a video region that loops between a video and an image. It is playing fine, but occasionally when the video is being played, the region will black out with out audio. I am not sure if that is codec related issue, but I guess it isn’t as it has played properly most of the time. Any thoughts?

Client: XfA R60
Hardware: Minix U1

Thanks heaps

Wonder if this is related to this: 1.7 R59 - Cannot Display Video Errors for a While

As the black duration we see matches the length of the videos that should be in the black spot.

@echan what do you see in the logs when this happens?

Strangely, there is no error logs during the past few days, so when there is a black out, XfA doesn’t consider it as an error? However, the issue seems to be very similar to yours. The black out duration is exactly the same as the video length, and we actually can hear the audio output (a complete one). So I guess it is being played in full duration, just that the video is not showing.

Thank you for the information. Just one more question. What do you see on the log from the display on the displays page when the problem happens?

These are the log I have from CMS, nothing related I guess? Should I create a support ticket? Or this issue has being looked after? um…

echan,

Thank you for the info.

I was hoping for the log found in this example:

As for opening a ticket with Spring Signage, that is all up to you. I can not confirm or deny the problems are the same, but I am thinking they are not.

Yeah, that’s all I got  thanks.

Thank you. The logs we have when we have our problem is different.
