we are currently using a Xibo-Server 2.7.3 with 12 Tizen Displays.
Now i installed a new V4-Server and want to “Swing-Migrate” the Displays to the new Version.
When we buy upgrade-perpetual licenses for the “old” server (V2) can these still work with the old Version ?
Also:
Why are here only 6 Upgrades “possible” even tough we have 12 Players ?
And last question : how can the licenses be transitioned to the new server so the “moved” players (we are planning to move them groupwise) when needed ?

CMS V4.1.2 (most recent version) requires at least V3.0.8 and above Xibo for Tizen (XfT) players for it to work. Please see reference from here so the short answer for your question is no, your V2 XfT players will not work on your V4 CMS.

Could you please provide the email address associated when you purchased the 12 XfT perpetual licenses? You may also provide the order number for me to check our system and check this information for you.

You will simply need to disassociate/unlicese the player by logging in to your ‘My Account’ > ‘Perpetual Licenses’. In this section, look under the ‘Licensed Devices’ and find the V2 XfT displays using the license and click the bin/delete button to remove the license. Finally go to your CMS > Displays > click the row menu and delete the display so you can prevent the display from obtaining the license automatically.
