Understanding Schedules

Hi all,

we are a department store , having Tizen-Displays in almost any floor.
I´m puzzled with the following:

i have a group for all Displays as well smaller ones for the single departments.

We have some videos that have to be played on ANY display (so i chose the “all”-Group for this purpose) and according to the individual department videos and Pics that only have to play there.
Somehow the displays now only play the “all”-Stuff , but not the individual layout.
Both schedules are prioritised the same. have the same schedule-settings (Days, Time etc.) and are each associated to the according display-groups.
When i look into the status-page of the Tizen-Client, i see that the individual layout is downloaded and valid.

Any ideas on this ?

Thanks and kind regards,
Markus

If you filter the schedule grid by the individual display and not the group, do you see the schedules you’re expecting? I.e. both of them?

If the events have the same priority they should both get added to the schedule loop and played one after the other.

Thanks for that tip. Didnt realize that was possible. BUT: as a result:

Both entrys are shown (the one for the “all Displays” and the “individual one”) , both have same priority etc. etc. but only the “all Displays” is played …

It´s getting interesting now:

i checked like described by you and noted the scheduled layouts on the players.
Took my remote control and went for a walk.
I found that the Tizen-Screens all show in status, that they have the assigned layouts downloaded, valid and scheduled.
BUT: the “next scheduled layout” value “sticks” to the “all-Screens”-Value (layout 62) , the other is not showing up at any time.

in the photo you can see: 62 is the default set in the player, as well as the layout scheduled for ALL players, 66 is the individual one.

This repeats accordingly on all other displays.

But only #62 is playing repeatedly … the Value “NEXT: 62” never changes …

One last add-on to this topic:

this only happens on Tizen-Devices. I have a test-Player on a windows-laptop:
here´s everything as expected and the layouts shuffle as they should.

@DanBW this sounds familiar, does it ring any bells for you?

Any Update on this ?

I believe it should cycle those two events as you’ve outlined.

If you’re using Tizen and looking for a priority reply then you’re welcome to open a ticket with the help desk as its a commercial product. We do of course keep an eye on support requests here, but there isn’t someone monitoring.
