There appears to be a bug in 2.2.2 where if a dataset row is edited and saved, Library image columns link to a broken / null image.
Thus the dataset ‘View Data’ screen looks like there are corrupt images assigned to dataset rows.
I have been unable to recreate the issue you are experiencing in a 2.2.2 cms, could you therefore give me further information as to the steps you have taken so I can look into this for you.
