Two monitors but only one Xibo Client

Greetings,

I’ve got an issue and can’t figure it out. I’ve got one PC running Windows 10 with two monitors connected. Windows identifies them as monitors 1 and 2. On monitor 1 i need to show some personal application. On monitor 2 I need to show my Xibo Display. Here’s the issue:

  • Monitor 1 has to be configured as the main monitor on Windows.
  • I’ve already configured the CMS display resolution and offset and I got it working fine, with my app on monitor 1 and Xibo on monitor 2.
Everytime I shutdown the computer by the end of the day, on the next day the Xibo player pops up on monitor 1 on Windows startup and I have to close the Xibo player and restart it so that it goes again to monitor 2. Is there any configuration I can set to keep it always on monitor 2 even after rebooting?
    I’m using Xibo 1.8.5 no-docker install.

Thanks.

Thank you for the information. The issue may be due to the Xibo Player starting before the Windows Desktop has finished adjusting its size to your configuration on startup. Can you confirm the which Edition of Windows 10 you are using as well as the Version and OS Build number? You can find this information in the Windows Settings, under System, then About.

A solution would be to disable Xibo starting automatically on boot. You would need to then start the Xibo Player manually instead.but this should avoid the issue you are experiencing.

If you continue to experience the issue when manually starting the Xibo for Windows Player, please let me know.

Many Thanks.

Sorry, I said Windows 10, but actually it’s Windows 8.1 Pro, version 6.3, build 9600.

As you mentioned, it’s probably due to Windows delay adjusting the startup configuration.
Manually starting Xibo is not an option because people aren’t supposed to have easy access to this computer, so I’m using a program to delay the Xibo Player launching by 3 minutes and so far I’ve done some rebooting without any further issues.

Thanks for the tip.

What are you using, sounds interesting because sometimes we have similar problems.

I’m using Startup Delayer v3.0 Build 366 from r2 Studios. It’s free and works like a charm.
