I have a problem with the synchronisation of clients. Even if I choose “Schedule Now” or schedule a normal program for a group of displays, it will be a delay of 2-3 seconds until the layout sent is displayed on all screens. I use a collection interval of 60 seconds.
I tried to synchronise the clock of the windows after time.windows.com on all clients and server but it didn’t work. Is it a possibility that the client that receive the layout first to doesn’t display it until all clients are 100% ready?
I use 1.7.6 version on both server and clients.
Unfortunately, as it is, Xibo does not support sync between clients.
The ways you can accomplish that is with a PC with dual display outputs and extended desktop in Windows, or using a matrix scaler (video wall scaler) to split the single HDMI output from your device and deliver it to multiple displays.
In 1.8 series (currently in alpha) it will be better with XMR.
Ok, thank you! But for the same client which has more regions in the layout, may I synchronise them to display on the screen when all regions are ready?
Xibo doesn’t support synchronising content between regions, although they should appear at very similar times (might depend on type of content though).
While there might be 1-2s off on some regions compared to others, it shouldn’t interfere with the layout playback.
