I’m new to the software so please excuse my asking this but I didn’t see anything about it anywhere. Is there a way to embed photos in the signage that are hashtaged and posted on instagram or on Twitter?

It is possible to some degree (from Twitter).
When you create twitter feed, go to ‘Appearance’ tab set it to ‘full Twitter time line’, then click override the template.
You will see items that can be displayed, including [Photo] which is probably what you want (and some CSS code). You can delete other items that you don’t want to display like date profileImage etc.
Basically you can override any template for twitter and add ‘[Photo]’ (to display images). I just wanted to let you know how you can see other items that can be displayed.
