Shell Command to start a Programm?

Hello,

is it possible to start a .exe via the shell command on a layout?
i added the command which runs fine if i execute it from the shell, but the same command does nothing if placed in a layout…
Can you please give me an example:
my programm resides on c:\myappfolder and i want to start it with parameters, e.g, c:\myappfolder\myapp.exe -1234

is that possible?

Could you share your solution if you did find a way to trigger your app from Xibo playlist?
