i added the command which runs fine if i execute it from the shell, but the same command does nothing if placed in a layout…
Can you please give me an example:
my programm resides on c:\myappfolder and i want to start it with parameters, e.g, c:\myappfolder\myapp.exe -1234
is that possible?

So I’ve been trying to create a layout that would run a shell command that would turn off the display.
So inside Layout Designer I’ve created an empty region and created a shell command inside of it.
I’ve used two different commands already:
shutdown /h
and
nircmd.exe monitor off
But in preview I just stare at the background image and that’s it.
My guessing is that my commands are incorrect even though they are working from cmd.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!

I’m new to Xibo. I’m trying to setup the player to run a shell command. In the CMS, I have the ‘Enable Shell Commands’ checked on the display profile and I have the command that I need (nircmd.exe) in the ‘Shell Command Allow List’. The player doesn’t execute the shell command. I turned on logging for the display and it says “Shell Commands not in allow list: nircmd.exe”. Below is a snippet of the log file message:
