Which CMS and player versions are you using please?
If it’s 1.8 series, is it docker installation or manual/custom one?
The player itself works fine, just the screensaver configuration shows that error?
Is the screensaver configured with differed hardware key (display ID)?
Are you running the player/screensaver as an administrator?
I need CMS 1.8.2 here and have run on an XAMMP server - not via Docker
if I know the player, I do not have the problems.
I’m just trying to install the screensaver on a test PC without the player.
My goal is to distribute the screensaver via GPO to +100 PC.
Unfortunately, I find here but no instructions.
I have now copied the screensaver to C: and created a folder “c:\xiboLibrary”.
I also copied the “Xibo.xml” file from the folder “AppData\Roaming”
of course I have adapted the “Xibo.xml”. so the data is correct - LibraryPath, ServerKey, ServerUri
I don’t think that’s going to work reliably, perhaps if we would know what exactly do you want to achieve and what exactly have you done so far we could comment further, but in general I believe you do need the player installed for the screensaver to work.

it can not be that you always have to install the player. is there any way how to get the screen saver to run alone?
