Recently bought another T95 Android Unit with ASOP 7.1, then side loaded the Xibo 1.7 client and licensed it.
However when I assign the RTSP Layout all I see is a black screen.
This layout is working on other players, no blacklisted URLs / videos are listed.
In fact the logs are pretty much empty.
Is there a client or player setting that I’m forgetting?
H264 .mp4 RTSP in localVideo widget should work fine on Android.
If it has a problem to connect to it or display the stream the I’d expect to see errors about it.
You could try enabling auditing on the display then schedule your layout again and see if it logs more information about the potential problem.
It’s very odd the stream is playing
However I can only get audio and no video from the RTSP stream.
Then tested the RTSP stream on the same Android device using Kodi.
The Kodi App played back both audio and video just fine.
Which seems to rule out any possible bandwidth issues.
Also turned on auditing and received the following…

BTW this time I’m using the Android 1.8 R106 Client instead of 1.7, the issue is the same for both.
I have had “similar” issues. I rolled back to the 1.7.6 client to resolve my issues with RTSP.
(Using DS Devices clients, J19 Model)
I rolled the Android Rom back to a compatible 7.1.1 and the display issue went away.
Curious do see any video jitter issues with RTSP on the 1.7.6 Xibo client?
I run the RTSP at native 1080P resolution with a crawl on the bottom of the screen. I don’t have any “Noticeable” jitter.
