While running some maintenance on my display PC, the player configuration got somehow messed up, and it has not been communicating with the server for about a week. I want to redo the configuration setup. The documentation that I’ve read indicates that I should be able to get to the setup screen by starting it with the -o option. When I do that, it just starts up the display, which then crashes as soon as I move the mouse. How can I get into the config? I’m using client version 1.7.6.
If you open START in windows and type ‘Xibo’ you should see Xibo Player Options, which if you run will open, well, Xibo player options.
Alternatively, you’re correct you can add o to the shortcut, ie
navigate to the path where the player is installed
make a shortcut of the XiboClient.exe file
Edit the shortcut Properties add o at the end ie by default:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Xibo Player\XiboClient.exe" o
