Bonjour,
Thank you for the information regarding the issue you are experiencing. What version of the Xibo for webOS Player are you using? If you are not using the latest version (currently 1.8 R16), I would recommend upgrading the Player to see if this helps resolve your issue.
I can also see that the recommended Firmware version for that model is 04.03.10. If your LG SM5KD is not running this version, I would recommend updating your Firmware.
You mentioned that the Layout can take a few minutes to appear after the start time, does this happen every time the Layout ends and starts to Display again or does it only happen when the Layout is first scheduled?
Can you also confirm what type of content is on your Layout?
Please also send a screenshot of the Status Page on the Player. You can access the status page by clicking the enter or ok button on your remote control and choosing Status from the Action Bar that appears at the top of the screen. If you would prefer to keep the Status Page private, please feel free to send me the screenshot in a Private Message.
Quentin
Thank you for the further information regarding the playback of the video.
You would need to download the Firmware from LG, who will also be able to provide instructions on how to upgrade the Firmware on your Display.
Once the Firmware is updated, I would recommend testing the Layout again to see if the issue is resolved. If the issue persists after the Firmware upgrade, please let me know.
Quentin
Thanks for confirming you have updated the Firmware on the Display. You mentioned that there is a little latency now., is it less than before the Firmware upgrade? If so, how long is it now? Please note that when you first create an Event for a Display, the Player will need to download the required files and new schedule, which can take some time, depending on the speed of your network connection and the amount of data that needs to be downloaded.
Also can you confirm whether the delay you are seeing is only when you first schedule a Layout to the Display or does it happen every time the Layout Loops and begins again?
In your original message, you mentioned that if you create an Event set to Display Always, it does not work. Can you confirm what happens now when you create an Event set to Display Always?
If your Display is generating any errors, please pass them on. You can check for errors in the Log section of your CMS as well as the Status page I referred to in an earlier message.
Can you also confirm the following information from the Status page on your Display:
The Licensed entry
The Registered entry
Schedule (does it say up to date?)
Required Files
Last 5 Log Messages
You are welcome to confirm what it says in these fields in a Private message to me.
hello,
i using CMS 2.0.4 with WebOs 4.0 players, you can see on screenshot my ticket rss feed in footer.
My project is use 2 or 3 feeds sources (local news-international news-others news…) i want scheduling feeds ( 60s for local news afters 60s for international news after 50s others news - and repeat all for ever).
Of course i need refresh feeds 2 or 3 times by day for have the last news in display.
What is best way for that?
Best regards! screenshoot%20rss|690x388
Thank you for the information. If you would like to have 2 or 3 feeds in the region at the bottom of your Layout, you can simply create a Ticker as it appears you already have, then add another to the same Region, which will then be shown afterwards.
When configuring your Tickers, you will need to set the duration to 60 seconds, but I would recommend setting the Update Interval and Image Update Interval to a higher period, so that you are not constantly querying your Feed for updates that will not be there.
If for example you intend to refresh your feeds up to 3 times a day, you will need to make sure that you set the update interval to the duration between those updates. So say you will update the feeds at 8am, 12am and 4pm, the recommended update interval would be every 4 hours, perhaps 3 is you prefer.
I have included a link to the documentation for the Ticker widget so you can read more about the configuration options you have:
