Players not downloading media from playlists

I think we’d need to see it then.

As a general point, running XTR once isn’t going to resolve things long term. That needs to be running regularly, so you really need to look at why that isn’t happening.

The container definitely is set to do that, so I can only think there’s something in the way you’re running it that prevents it? Do you perhaps override the container command line, or manually start Apache?

The XLF file in isolation doesn’t tell us anything.

If someone can provide access to a CMS doing this, I’m happy to take a quick look to try and understand this.

I’d be happy to let you jump on my CMS, just let me know how to get you the info.

Please PM me the details.

I’ll need a superadmin login to the CMS, and details of which Display is setup to display the problem please.

If you want me to look at the task issue, I’ll also need ssh or TeamViewer access to the server running the containers.

Just double checking that both @JWhite and @rd98ac2 have version 2 Players here? I’m not sure what a 1.8 series Player will do with those as they include from/to dates (even though you’ve not explictly set them).

Even better, if someone can replicate it on a Cloud Demo CMS then it’s far easier for us to debug this, and get it in front someone who can fix it!

Yes I have version 2. Also tried uninstalling / reinstalling the client. Strangely the layout works just fine when I preview it from the CMS.

We’ve looked at @JWhite CMS and in that case there was an issue with a database table not being updated correctly when the playlist was created.

We’ve got that layout working, and are looking at how that can have occurred.

I’ve logged an issue to track this here:

Tasks issue was resolved - it was due to special characters in the MySQL password.

There’s a patch available against 2.0.2 CMS which addresses the closure table issue at the issue above.
