Player not registering

Hi,

I am new to Xibo,

Installed Xibo server on Centos 7 and Player on windows 7.

But while trying to register or connect the player to the server for first time, i am getting the error as below

Client found response content type of ‘text/plain; charset=UTF-8’, but expected ‘text/xml’.
The request failed with the error message:

Your client is not the correct version to communicate with this CMS.

server details and key is correct.

Client version is 1.8 and xibo server is 1.7

Can you please help me in troubleshooting this issue?

You will want to use 1.7.9 client with 1.7.9 CMS, you should always use CMS and clients in the same series.
