Player freezes when display is turned off

Issue:

I have a setup with Xibo Client running on a Windows 11 OS.

I have a TV connected using HDMI and the player runs fine.
But I have attached a smart plug to the TV that turns off and on the TV on a schedule, and when it turns off the TV, the Xibo client freezes and never recovers.

I know this since I have a clock in my layout and when the TV is turned on again it displays the time of the TV turning off. I have to manually restart the client and it runs fine until the next turn off event.

Anyone that has any advise on how to troubleshoot this?
