MySql error "mysqld.exe has stopped working"

Version 1.7.9, CMS and Player on Windows 7 Pro machine.

Started getting this error after the machine hung on reboot following a Windows Update. If MySQL is restarted it runs fine until either the player is started or a change is attempted via CMS.

I’m guessing I’ll need to start over, but I’m wondering if there might be any hope in salvaging the database. Not familiar with MySQL administration, and don’t have a backup. :grimacing:

190906 9:21:15 [ERROR] mysqld got exception 0x80000003 ;
This could be because you hit a bug. It is also possible that this binary
or one of the libraries it was linked against is corrupt, improperly built,
or misconfigured. This error can also be caused by malfunctioning hardware.

To report this bug, see https://mariadb.com/kb/en/reporting-bugs

We will try our best to scrape up some info that will hopefully help
diagnose the problem, but since we have already crashed,
something is definitely wrong and this may fail.

Server version: 10.1.13-MariaDB
key_buffer_size=16777216
read_buffer_size=262144
max_used_connections=1
max_threads=1001
thread_count=1
It is possible that mysqld could use up to
key_buffer_size + (read_buffer_size + sort_buffer_size)*max_threads = 787100 K  bytes of memory
Hope that's ok; if not, decrease some variables in the equation.

The manual page at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/crashing.html contains
information that should help you find out what is causing the crash.

I would surmise that your MySQL data files are corrupt in some way.

Quickest way to resolve that will be to backup what you have, clear the MySQL data directory, start MySQL fresh, and then load in your most recent backup (assuming you’ve been taking them).

Failing that, you’d need to ask for recovery advise on a MySQL specific forum. I notice you’re using MariaDB rather than MySQL, so you’d probably be best looking for something specific to that.
