Multidisplay on one Windows PC

Hi folks,

i have been trying to get 2x 50inch digital signage displays hooked up to a single Windows 10 PC with xibo client to work for me…

windows 10 has both screens setup as the left being the main and the right is the extended, both displays have a resolution of 3840x2160

i have tried using 2 xibo clients (copied, renamed, seperate web port, etc.) but both clients show on the same screen there contents

then i tried to use one xibo client with a resolution of 7680x2160, but for some reason it is still only show (compressed) on one screen, instead of extending over to the next screen

any idea how i can get this to work? any ideas / help would be appreciated.

You will only need one Xibo for windows player installed on your PC to create a multi display.

I would recommend Selecting Display Settings on your CMS, and Editing the Windows profile. Select the Location tab. If the Height and Width are not set to the 7680x2160 resolution (default is 0x0), the Display will not scale across the monitors.

If the issue persists after you have set this resolution, please let me know.

Many Thanks.

i did this already and it stayed on one screen, did not expand across, and the content was shrunk down to fit

but i will test this again

  • display setting to 7680x2160, layout split up the contents as needed and it should show across the whole two screens…

okay… small success…

it seems now i finally have it expanding across to the second display. BUT i created a layout with 2 regions (basically to have one content area on each screen), In the preview layout it shows properly both image (left area) and webpage (right area). BUT in the displays it is only showing me the image (from the left area) in the center across both screens…

got it running! seemed there must still have been something overlapping causing the second region not to show…

thanks for the help!

Glad to hear the Multi display is working.

Many Thanks.
