Missing some translation text after upgrading 1.4.2 to 1.7.6

Hi,

I upgraded Xibo from 1.4.2 to 1.7.6.and everything looks fine except there are some text missing in the CMS.

For example the text for the library location just above “This setting is referred to as: LIBRARY_LOCATION”.
The same for the CMS secret key, Location of the Manual, Status Dashboard Widget:allow import and enable Library Tidy and some more.

All those missing text show the following:

What could be wrong?

So assuming that everything went well with the upgrade… :wink:

Could you please have a look in CMS Settings -> regional what language do you have there?
You can also try to clear the browser cache - sometimes it might be required after upgrade.

Hello Peter,

Yes actually everything is working and at the moment I have one client connected and updated the content.
I did the upgrade on a second server for testing.

I have en_GB and also used nl or de.

I have looked into the locale directory but can’t find the entries for it when loading the MO files into an editor.
Also the dbtranslate.php doesn’t show the entries for it. I extracted them from the xibo-cms-1.7.6.zip

Hi Peter

I found out that the setting table contains the entries with the helptext.
But some of them are NULL. I checked also the backup database from 1.4.2. and found that they were all ready NULL as well. Maybe preexisted records were not updated during the upgrade?
