Mini PC with dual screen - how to output xibo an 2nd monitor?

Hi,
on my (planned) mini PC I have one VGA-output (use vor RDP with dummy adapter) and one HDMI-output for the xibo-screen. How can I set that xibo uses the 2nd screen via HDMI?

If Windows sees both screens in display management and those are set as extended desktop, then all you need to do is open CMS navigate to Display Settings page -> Edit display profile assigned to your device -> Location tab

Enter the player size and offset for example if you have two screens both 1080p and you want to show Xibo player on the monitor on the right, then you’d enter 1920 in the left offset.
Save the profile, restart the player and it should pick it up and player should start on the 2nd screen.

Thanks. So I have top add a new profile with these pixel-settings and set the display itself to this profile?

Does not really seem to work. Nothing changes.

What CMS and player versions are you using please?

Assuming that both monitors are detected in Windows and set as extended desktop, then all you should need to do is to create a new display profile, set the player size and offset, assign this profile to your player - you may need to restart the player as well.

By default player will always start on the main monitor, if you put the offset in display profile it will be moved according to the offset you’ve set.

I use your cloud demo and the Windows Player is 1.8.3.

Offset still not working. I also notice that since today I don’t get immediately updates within the player when making changes to the “always-scheduled-layout”. Yesterday it worked fine, now I have to manually delete the cache on the PC.

With another profile the player starts kind of minimized. I can see the app-icon in Windows 7 taskbar, but there is not main window. I also tried different positions like left=500 and width=1920, but nothing worked.

My xibo-layout is 1080x1920 portrait, but windows it set to landscape (it’s my desktop, 2x 1920x1080 monitors), so perhaps this could play a role?

While I’m not certain why would you have Portrait layout on a monitor with landscape orientation, it should not matter, you should be able to still move the player with the correct offset values.

Xibo player will always be i the foreground, I’m not sure why would it start in any other way.

Could you send me a private message with your CMS Instance name in our Cloud so I can take a look at your display profiles?

Solution is: Also setting the height:

left=1920
top=0
width=1920
height=1080
