hello.
im trying to add a local video on a layout which is supposed to be scheduled on an android device . i cant figure out what video path i should write . the video is located here : /storage/emulated/0/videos/NameOfTheVideo.mp4
what should i do differently ?
You will want to give it a fully qualified path to the file, for example if it would be in the player local library then you’d put the following in the local video path
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\Xibo Library\big_buck_bunny.mp4
similar for android, the path you’ve mentioned should work, assuming that the video file is indeed there.
I’ve done a quick test, downloaded one video and set the local video path to /storage/emulated/0/download/big_buck_bunny.mp4
That does display this video correctly for me on android device. (z64 to be specific)
Strange … i’ve checked it again and every thing seems to be alright but it still just shows my default layout.

Run a rooted browser to find the right path for your file (file properties).
Maybe your video is banned because the first time it couldn’t. Disable “ban video” in advanced player settings and try a reboot
