Is there a plan in the upcoming version 1.8 to just allow simple webpage navigation?

My client wants to display a click-able webpage on a touch screen in certain periods of time, otherwise keep the contents passive. I’d just create a full-screen region with the webpage as usual, but would it allow to actually navigate with a touch screen within the region, when displayed on the client?

All this on the Android client?

There isn’t anything preventing that from happening at the moment - or rather there shouldn’t be. We aren’t actively preventing clicks in any webpages that are shown.

Yes indeed - all of them actually, windows, android, any version.

When you preview your layout (with webpage on region) in your browser, you will see that you can click on links on the page. Also, try to connect by VNC or RD on the client running Xibo Player and you will also see that you can click on the links and navigate through the page.
