How to manually add a display to a display group?

Using v1.8.11

Having created a Display Group I can add a display to the group by using the Dynamic Group option but I can’ t work out how to manually add a single display? The row menu for the group does not contain a “Members” option as the Xibo manual says it should. https://xibo.org.uk/manual/en/displays_groups.html

Any ideas?

Thank you for your message and welcome to the Xibo forum!

You can add Displays to a Group by first creating the Group. Once it’s been created, click the button at the end of the Group and Choose Members from the menu. You will then be able to add the Displays you want to the Group, save to confirm.

You can see the option in my screenshot below:

As a further note, please be aware that this is the same method for adding Display Groups to your Display Group, once you are in the Members option, simply select the Display Groups tab.

The Relationship Tree tab will show you the hierarchy of your Display Groups so you can keep track of which Groups are above or beneath the current Group you are editing, if you have nested any of your Groups.

Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately, I do not see the ‘Members’ option in the group row menu. I see the other options but ‘Members’ is not there. Could this be something to do with permissions?

Thanks for letting me know. It is likely that you are not seeing the option because of the permissions for your User Account. What User Type are you using? If you try this as a Super Admin User, can you now see the option?

There is an alternative way you could also try. This time, go to the Displays menu option, click the button at the end of the Display you want to add to a Group and choose the Display Groups option from the menu. You can see it in my screenshot below:

This option will also allow you to add a Display to a Group.

Hi thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, I am already a Super Admin and can’t see the option.

Also, I tried the alternative way and I don’t get any options to add displays to groups

Thank you for confirming.Your screenshot is quite unusual, you don’t seem to have the check boxes you should have when adding a Display to a Group. Are you logged in as a Super Admin when you tool that screenshot of the Manage Membership page?

I would also recommend upgrading your CMS to version 1.8.13 as there were many bug fixes applied since 1.8.11.
