Hello,
I installed xibo for windows 1.8 on a player in Windows 10.
This player manages a 58-inch touch screen.
In an area of my layout, I have a media type URL and in this area I can navigate the site via the touch screen.
It works …
I read on your recommendations that on a player Android DSDevices that the touch drivers were not installed and that Xibo did not currently support the touch functions.
Can you tell me if touch functions will be implemented in Xibo in the near future?
For example I have seen dynamic display CMS other than xibo, which allow in an area with several media type Image to scroll independently of the time (time per media) forward or backward by a finger slide on the touch screen.
2.0 will have some basic interactive functionality - so for example being able to skip between layouts with a touch event. 1.8 has nothing like that currently.
I can’t no. 2.0 is in development now. Once we’re further along, we’ll start making alpha and beta releases, and the issues found in those will dictate how long it takes us to get to a 2.0 stable release.
We typically go around 12-18 months between major releases, and 1.8 was released April/May 2017, so you’d expect something by the latter part of this year, but that’s not a promise that we will deliver that at this stage.
