Fade in/out transitions effects are in the CMS by default, but they need to be enabled first https://www.xibo.org.uk/manual/en/layouts_transitions.html
Then you can add them in layout designer - please note that Windows Player remains .NET Windows Forms based and so transitions are impossible in that architecture.
It will currently work in Android and LG (I believe) players, it should also work in new cross-platform (Windows/Linux) player , but that one is currently in development it’s hard to say more for now.
