Excel Sheet with Android Player

Unfortunately hosting in the cloud is not really an option. This client wont even think about office 365

Another simple thought. When you turned on borders, did you leave them as automatic, or specifically choose black? I had to do that for them to show up in Android as well.

OK we got the new Android device today running the latest version, Installed the player and loaded it up and it worked fine. Looks just as it should.

So in my mind it the older version of android/browser that was not displaying the page correctly.

Thanks for all the advice and help on this one guys.

FWIW…

I was trying to do something similar by saving an Excel spreadsheet as a webpage. Our device is an MXQ Pro 4K running Android 6.0. That device simply wouldn’t display the html version of the file correctly, whereas the windows xibo client looked pretty good. In the end, we opted for using a snipping tool to capture the spreadsheet as it was on a PC…zoomed to fill the screen. Then we uploaded the captured png to the xibo media library for display as an image. Looks far better than the html version of the spreadsheet.

Just another way to skin the cat, I suppose.

Mike

Thanks for you input, might have a look at doing it that way. The problem is the client will be updating the excel file and require the output on the tv to update without any additional steps from them. We dont want to give them access to xibo
