Hi, I’ve got a few fonts that we have paid licenses for - both desktop and Web versions and I can’t get them to upload the media library. Any ideas?
- FSAlbertWeb-Bold.eot - gives me the error ‘The name must be between 1 and 100 characters’
- FSAlbertWeb-Bold.woff - gives the me the error ‘Font file is not embeddable due to its permissions’
- FSAlbert-Bold.otf - gives the me the error ‘Font file is not embeddable due to its permissions’
Since we have valid licenses, I’d like to use them. Any ideas?
This is using a fresh installation of Version 1.8.2
The font permissions are set inside the font files themselves, as is the names of them.
I’m not sure what an eot font is, so may not be supported, and that’s why it’s not able to extract a name from it.
The others look like they’re being read correctly. Officially you will need to go back to whoever you’ve licenced the fonts from, and request a version that doesn’t have those locks in place.
There are means to remove the permissions flags from font files out there, but you should only do so if it’s legal and appropriate to do so.
hi, how remove the permissions flags from font files if it legal
