Error "xxx is downloading 1 files too many times"

Hi,

I’ve seen this posted before, but nothing that says how to recover from it.

I’m able to connect to the Windows PC player that this is happening on, but cannot get anything to download to the player.

CMS says, under display status “X” that “player is downloading new files”, but after an hour, it has done nothing. Cannot get it to download the MP4. It’s a 106MB video, and should download in 10-15 minutes max.

How do we circumvent this error?

I think I got around this by changing the Library folder on the player to another location. Xibo then downloaded the files in about two minutes and started playing.

However, on our Xibo Cloud CMS, I’m seeing this error on that display:

“Layout Change to C:\Users\NewPC\Documents\XiboClient Library\0.xlf failed. Exception raised was: Could not find file ‘C:\Users\NewPC\Documents\XiboClient Library\0.xlf’.”

This seems to be showing in the log for that display every few minutes.

What do we need to do to correct that?

Deleting files from library folder manually then opening xibo options and saving new location of the library will solve the problem, i think.
