Elements not visible, what am I doing wrong?

Hello,

I feel like a complete idiot, but Xibo’s layout editor and I are not friends at the moment. I usually run into problems when creating layouts and now I can’t even play a video with a bar at the top and bottom of the screen.

The top bar is visible when I preview it, but the bottom bar won’t show up. What on earth am I doing wrong?

Hi, I would suggest adding the video to the canvas first and use the Make this full screen functionality at the bottom of the positioning tab in the configuration panel for the video widget.

Then add your shape elements (using the Snap to Borders button may also help you to ensure that the shapes are not positioned slightly off screen) then add your text and see if that plays for you.

I am aware of a couple of little niggles with layering which are currently being discussed with our dev team, one of which being the placement of a full screen image/video which then will not play any elements placed underneath regardless of the layering set. These are being looked into and v4.1 should bring improvements to the overall layering control. You will soon be friends again I am sure
