No please stop editing the files. It makes it really hard to debug stuff if we’re not working from a stable base.
I didn’t mean to alter the code, I mean to change your filesystem permissions. As you mentioned chmod I thought we were now working on a CMS on a Linux OS. If it’s on Windows then for now grant Full Control to Everyone on the CMS library, all subfolders and files.
If that latest log shows a client downloading a file then your CMS is totally broken. There should be alot more log messages in there than that - quite apart from the ones from the display auditing.
Please - I said “Everyone” That will ensure there are no filesystem problems. “Users” is a group so there’s the possibility that whoever the web server is running as isn’t in that group.
There should be the chunk messages, there should be the display connecting, schedule etc. You can’t have the right options turned on.
There’s a builtin group called Everyone. Add it and grant Full Control. I don’t see how I can be any more clear. Then ensure that all sub files and folders are set to inherit those permissions. You can enforce that from the Advanced dialogue.
And set the tick for “Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object?”
If so then please run up the report fault wizard as I described earlier, clear the library on the player you’ve enabled auditing on of the ticker_ files that are causing the problem, then run the Player and have it do the download.
Yes but if all those files are originating from a corrupt filesystem then who knows what rubbish the CMS will have sent out, thinking it’s sending what’s on the drive.
linux cms is on an other machine and also on a hosted environment.
if you really think i am the only one having this issue please close the issue now, maybe i find a solution myself
Ah an yes, also a win7 client with deleted library and also md5 error…
You said earlier you could only replicate this on your Windows 8.1 CMS. The story keeps changing! Please point me to the others reporting this same issue?
