Good day. When I try to connect with android to CMS, an error pops up. What am I doing wrong?
"Unable to Register due to Error. Attempt to invoke virtual method @int.java.lang.string.lenght()@ on a null object reference
I would need more information to be able to understand what is causing the issue. Please reply with answers to the following questions:
Can you confirm what you are entering into the Android Player?
What version of the Android Player are you using?
Have you successfully connected this Player or another to the CMS before?
You are also welcome to provide a screenshot of the Status page on your Android Player. This can be accessed by clicking on the screen while Xibo is running and choosing Status form the Action Bar at the top of the screen. If you would prefer, you can send this to me in a private message.

Version CMS 1.7.9. Version android player: 1.8 R107.
I first installed this system. I have never used it before.
Thank you for the screenshots. You should not need the /xibo-cms/ at the end of the CMS address. I would recommend trying to connect again having removed that element of the address.
I would also recommend upgrading your CMS to the latest version, which currently is 1.8.11. Many bugs have been fixed since 1.7.9. You will also not be able to use XMR with version 1.7 of the Player, which would allow you to push changes to the Layouts or Players straight away without having to wait for your collection interval. I have included a link below to the download page should you decide to upgrade.
