Displays Not Synchronizing Properly – Small Delay Between Screens

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with synchronizing two displays in my Xibo CMS setup. Both screens are configured with the same NTP server (de.pool.ntp.org), and their local time settings match. However, when scheduling an event to start at a specific time (e.g., 14:00), one display starts slightly before the other, causing a noticeable delay of a few seconds.

Here are the steps I have taken to troubleshoot the issue:

Verified that both displays are connected to the internet and synchronized via NTP.
Ensured that the CMS and both displays are set to the same timezone.
Restarted both displays simultaneously to check if they align.
Tested scheduling events at different times, but the synchronization issue remains.
Despite these efforts, the two displays do not start playing content at exactly the same time. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve perfect synchronization between the two screens?

We guarantee scheduling accuracy to 10 seconds although we usually do better than that.

Perfect sync would be via a Sync Group using our Content Synchronisation feature in Mirror configuration. Unfortunately this is only currently available on webOS and Android. We are aiming to add it to Tizen soon.

Perfect sync is a lot more complex than date/time based sync because you have to make sure you have everything exactly orchestrated between the displays, prepared in advance and started at exactly the same time. This is supported on identical hardware on a fast wired network.
