Default Layout Displaying When Not Scheduled

Issue

I have one layout scheduled full time on two xibo players. It shows company logo, announcements, calendar, and a playlist cycling through a few pictures. I also have NWS emergency alerts scheduled as an overlay layout by criteria (set update interval 1 min.). I actually have two overlays (one for non-critical, one for critical) and one interrupt (for extreme events). The collection interval for the displays is set to 5 min.

Both displays will show correct layout and NWS overlay for 1 minute, then show the default Xibo layout for 10 seconds, then display the main layout for 5 seconds, then add the NWS overlay for the remainder of the 1 minute. This repeats every 60 seconds.

Interleave Default is set to “no”.

I have four player faults that I believe have to do with the empty overlay layouts due to criteria not being met for emergency alerts…? I may be wrong about that.

I could sure use come help to figure out why the default layout is displaying when I can’t get rid of it. Thanks in advance!

An update to this…
By removing every schedule and adding back in I have found out…

  1. Just the main layout: Works as it should
  2. Main layout plus overlay layout “NWS Alert - Non-Critical”: Works as it should
  3. Main layout plus overlay layout “NWS Alert - Non-Critical” and “NWS Alert - Critical”: removes the “Non-Critical” overlay for 10 seconds then reappears. This repeats once a minute.
  4. All the above + Interrupt layout “NWS - Extreme” same result as #3 but shows the default Xibo layout for 10 seconds every minute.

(all of the testing was with an active “Moderate” alert for our area)

The idea was to have separate alerts that filter by alert Severity. Moderate being a small yellow alert box, critical being two small red boxes, and extreme to fully take over the screen.

Am I not scheduling this correctly? Or can Xibo just not handle this kind of setup?

Please help because this is a really cool feature that was added but I see no documentation on it yet.
