Could not update display

Hello,

I’m trying to add a new display to our Xibo installation. I’ve installed the client software onto a Win 7 machine, put in the CMS address and Key, it tells me to approve. So i go to administration area, click on the newly added screen and change licence to Yes, but it tells me “Could not update display”

Could you please tell us what CMS and client version do you use?

so, "SQLSTATE[22003]: Numeric value out of range: 1416 Cannot get geometry object from data you send to the GEOMETRY field"

It might be related to outdated MySQL, so you could have a look at it.
Did you set latitude/longitude in display edit?

Perhaps have a look at this topic with similar issue for more details.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your reply. We are using CMS 1.7.5, client version 1.7.5 and PHP version 5.4.31.

I’ve tried setting a latitude/longitude and leaving blank, neither of which work.

I’ve look at the topic before posting, however, this does not offer a solution. As we are using a compatible PHP version I believe?

What version of MySQL do you have? The poster in that thread said he had an old version of MySQL bundled with XAMPP and that was the root cause. Perhaps you have the same issue?

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your help, we are now rebuilding the server, so will run a new version of XAMPP on it, which should sort out any issues.
