Connecting an Android Display to a remote server running Docker

Hello,

I decided to start again and install using Docker - all is now working well!

I have connected a display which is on the same network as the CMS Server - how would I connect that display offsite in one of our shops?

At the moment for the one on the same network I type in http://(IP ADDRESS) and the key and it works. Do I need to do anything differently to connect when the server is remote? I tried adding :8080 and :9505 but it didn’t work.

You would need to point the client to your public router IP address. If you are using a domain and that is configured to point to your router’s public IP then you can use the domain name. If not then you can use your public IP address as long as it is static.

You will also need to forward ports 80, 443 if using HTTPS, and 9505 for XMR, to the internal IP of the CMS server.

This is all assuming that you have setup the CMS on port 80, or 443(https), and also that you are using the default XMR port for Xibo.
