Xibo community… if you just install xibo 3.3.12 and you get this Configuration Problem Library not writable error at login page… if you are using an external or remote mysql, go into your database area using phpmyadmin, go into your xibo database and click on setting…in there, look for LIBRARY_LOCATION and edit it…in the big box, put anything there… could be just 1 or shared/storage and then save.
after that, refresh your login page and you can now login. i think when you use the remote_mysql yml and remote_mysql template env, the installation misses some database entry which causes the error… the CMS SECRETE KEY field comes empty but if you had used the docker-compose yml with builtin mysql for internal use, the CMS SECRETE KEY field will come field with a generic key, and also the layout section will come with a default layout
I hope the dev team can look into this issue for us.
dont break your server trying to solve some xibo issues unless you have a dummy server you use for testing web apps. i took the whole day experimenting the issues i see in this forum and figured most of the answers and thought of sharing…it might help someone
i settled for XIBO 3.3.12 CMS and with WINDOWS PLAYER v3 309.1 on WINDOW 10 pro!
i imported a layout from my old v2.3.17 to 3.3.12 and everything works as it was in v2. RSS FEED and my custom image works
i tested v4 from 4.0.0 to 4.1.2 with v4 player versions and none could work my RSS FEED so my test ended at 3.3.12 with v3 player 309.1
i will replicate any xibo issues i see in this forum and find you a solution when i get time…CHEERS!!
