BUG - 4.2.* Frequent "Cache not ready" issues with Datasets and RSS feeds

CMS 4.2
Android R406
Windows R404

Guys, are any of you experiencing frequent problems (both with Windows and Android) with the content of a Dataset or an RSS feed (especially customized ones) frequently showing in the PLAYER that there is no data, and the logs showing as “cache not ready”?

This has been happening frequently here.
Can you give us a tip on how to solve it?

Log errors

Dataset Widget in layout editor works normally:

When I delete the entire library from the display, and all the files are downloaded from scratch, the widgets work for a few hours.

After a few hours it gives this cache “error” and stops displaying the Dataset widgets
(This happens with RSS sometimes too)

any tip?

Thanks!

The only thing which will generate cache for a Player is the Widget Sync Task from XTR. The first thing to do is to check that it is running and is successful with no errors.

The cache might be getting warmed up by viewing that Widget in the Layout Editor or Preview - but only if they are not “display specific” - i.e they don’t use any displayId filtering.

Hi Dan! Thanks for the reply!

I’ve checked all the tasks a few times. All set.
I’ve even run them individually, but the problem still persists.

There’s also no specific Display filter or configuration set for this purpose.

Is there anything else I might be forgetting that could cause my dataset widget to disappear from the display?

BTW:

I’ve already tested the widget inside a playlist, I’ve already tested the widget as an “Element” (directly on the canvas)

I noticed that when I edit and save, sometimes one of the widgets appears again on the display, but then disappears after a while.

One important thing to mention: Sometimes in the dataset widget and especially in the RSS widgets, the problem returns the message “No data template”: “No data coming from the source”.. even when there is clearly data!

The “certs” folder in the CMS library is configured correctly..

I’m running out of ideas of where to investigate.

Although I know that this is not the problem:
My players (Android and Windows) are white labels from Xibo. Does this have any influence?
